Do you remember being a child and making things simply because it was fun?
Drawing strange people.
Covering a page in colour.
Making marks just to see what happened.
You didn't worry about whether it was good. You didn't compare your work with anyone else's. You didn't wonder what people would think.
You just played.

Somewhere along the way, many of us learned that creativity was something we had to be good at.
And that's when the inner critic started to get involved...
“I'm not artistic.”
“That doesn't look right.”
“I don't know what I'm doing.”
“Everyone else's is better than mine.”

So what happens if we take all of that pressure away?

Join artist Jenny and meditation & mindset coach Andrea for a playful, experimental afternoon exploring creativity for the sheer joy of it.

This isn't about learning how to paint the perfect picture.
There is no right way to do it.
There is no finished masterpiece you need to produce.
And you absolutely do not need to consider yourself artistic.
Instead, we'll explore mixed media, experimental drawing, mark-making and creative play — following curiosity rather than a set outcome and seeing what happens when we give ourselves permission to simply make.
Alongside the creative work, Andrea will weave in gentle meditation and mindset practices, helping you notice what happens when that familiar inner critic appears — and experiment with responding to it differently.
Because sometimes the most interesting thing we create isn't what's on the page...
It's what happens inside us when we stop trying to get it right.

This is for you if...
-
You used to love being creative but haven't made time for it in years.
-
You find yourself saying “I'm not artistic” before you've even picked up a pencil.
-
You tend to overthink things or put pressure on yourself to get them right.
-
You'd love to experiment and play without having to produce something "good".
-
You're curious about what might happen when you quieten your inner critic.
-
Or perhaps you simply fancy spending a few hours doing something different, playful and completely for yourself.
You don't have to be an artist.
In fact, we'd rather you weren't trying to be one.
Come and make marks.
Try things.
Change your mind.
Make a mess.
Follow your curiosity.
Create something beautiful.
Create something weird.
Create something you don't even like.
There is no wrong answer.
This is art for the sake of art.
And an invitation to remember the part of you that knew how to play before you learned that you had to get it right.
Your afternoon with Jenny & Andrea
Jenny will guide you through a range of experimental mixed-media and drawing activities, encouraging you to explore materials, marks, shapes, textures and ideas without focusing on the finished product.
Andrea will bring in meditation and mindset practices to support you to slow down, become curious about your internal dialogue and notice the ways your inner critic might show up when you're creating.
Together, we'll create a relaxed, welcoming space where there is nothing to prove and nothing to achieve.
Just an opportunity to explore, play and create.
